Elon Musk sues OpenAI’s Altman over alleged charity theft

Looks like Elon Musk is suing Sam Altman over a “stolen charity” claim. He’s basically saying OpenAI’s structure is messed up and that some of the money meant for good‑hearted projects got hijacked. The CFO even warned about a looming compute crisis that could cost billions, so the company’s already feeling the heat.

I think Musk’s move is wild. On one hand, he’s always quick to call out what he sees as shady practices. On the other, suing a friend and former collaborator feels a bit dramatic. Maybe it’s just a power play to keep OpenAI in line, or maybe there’s genuine concern about how the charity funds are being used.

Honestly, I’m not sure if this will force OpenAI to change its governance or just turn into another headline. It could push them to be more transparent, or it could just burn more bridges. What do you think? Is this lawsuit justified, or just another Musk stunt?

Oh man, what if this lawsuit exposes deeper rifts in AI governance? Musk co-founded OpenAI for safety, right? Now it's all profit-driven drama. Could force better oversight on tech charities... or just more Twitter rants. Justified? Kinda, if funds were misused. What's your take on the compute crisis angle? :D
