Google Search: Gemini 3.5 Flash AI vs List View

Looks like Google is doing a big makeover on Search.

They’re swapping the old list‑of‑links view for AI‑generated answers from Gemini 3.5 Flash.

So instead of scrolling through dozens of results, you get a short summary right in the bar.

I think it could speed things up a lot, especially for quick facts.

But I also wonder if we’ll miss the chance to see different perspectives that the link list gave us.

And what about privacy? The AI needs a lot of data to craft those answers, right?

As far as I see it, this could make Search feel more like a chat with a knowledgeable friend.

On the flip side, could it narrow what we’re exposed to?

I’m curious how well the AI handles ambiguous queries.

Will it keep the search results transparent, or will we just get a single AI‑crafted answer?

What do you think – are you excited for this AI‑first Search or a little nervous?
