Looks like SoftBank’s boss is betting on Artificial Superintelligence, not just AGI, and thinks it’ll hit us in the next decade.
He’s basically saying the next big leap won’t be “human‑like” AI, but something way beyond – a system that can outthink us on every level.
I get why he’s excited. If it’s real, we could see crazy breakthroughs in medicine, climate modeling, maybe even everyday gadgets that actually understand us.
But at the same time, it feels a bit sci‑fi. Ten years feels fast for something that could reshape the whole economy and our jobs.
Also, moving the spotlight from AGI to ASI might sideline the safety talks we’ve been having.
What do you think – is a superintelligent AI in ten years realistic, or just hype? And how should we prep for it?
